General Manager, UK (Marketplace)

Location: London, England, United Kingdom; hybrid working in the central London office two days per week. The role includes travel within the UK and occasional travel to the US.

Base pay: £89,000–£115,000, excluding bonus, benefits, and other compensation.

What you will do

• Lead the UK country team and own the UK business P&L.
• Shape the UK market strategy to deliver revenue and contribution margin targets.
• Manage both sides of the marketplace by generating customer demand, maintaining healthy Tasker supply, and improving task fulfilment.
• Lead the UK team across marketing, partnerships, and Tasker operations.
• Develop local and city-specific go-to-market strategies and adapt the offering for the UK market.
• Drive local marketing initiatives and external partnerships to increase brand awareness and market growth.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience driving commercial growth in a business.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams across different functions and seniority levels.
• Strong data-driven decision-making skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, presentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to take ownership, navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and balance creative thinking with business judgment.
• Ability to work from London with regular office attendance, plus travel within the UK and occasional travel to the US.
