Systems Engineer (Media Technology)

Location: Full-time on-site work in West Hartford, Connecticut, at an hirify.global-designated worksite. Must be willing to work any shift, 24/7, including weekends and short-notice assignments, and travel as needed.

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Gather requirements and plan and implement technical and workflow solutions for news, production, and creative services teams.
• Administer media production applications, systems, infrastructure, and enterprise IT environments.
• Support SDI and NDI video infrastructure, live production systems, news gathering tools, editing systems, media asset management, and transmission systems.
• Provide technical support, incident response, customer communication, and operational troubleshooting.
• Develop system documentation and support proof-of-concept testing, change control, and implementation activities.
• Ensure compliance with hirify.global cybersecurity policies and standards.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, radio, television and film, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with media technology, live event or news production operations, and mission-critical 24/7 facilities.
• Knowledge of compute and storage administration, physical and virtualized infrastructure, cloud systems, networking, domain and identity management, routers, switches, firewalls, and port management.
• Experience with video encoding, transcoding, compression, archiving, managed IP media networks, virtualization, and media workflow tools such as Vantage, Dalet, or Ross Overdrive.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without restrictions and must work full-time on-site in West Hartford, Connecticut.
• Must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver's license, lift up to 30 pounds, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
