Network and Site Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; primarily onsite with up to 25% travel

Base salary: $80,000–$105,000 annually, plus potential discretionary annual bonus

What you will do

• Own procurement, provisioning, configuration, installation, maintenance, documentation, and lifecycle management for internet circuits, WAN connectivity, and network infrastructure.
• Administer Cisco Meraki MX security appliances, Cisco and Meraki switches, wireless infrastructure, user VPNs, and site-to-site VPNs.
• Oversee Category 5, 6, and 8 cabling, single-mode and multimode fiber, network closets, equipment placement, power, patching, and physical connectivity.
• Support conference room AV systems, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, personnel access control systems, and legacy telecommunications services.
• Serve as the primary escalation resource for wired, wireless, VPN, circuit, and end-user connectivity issues, troubleshooting across the OSI model.
• Coordinate with carriers, vendors, cabling contractors, PC support, remote site contacts, and the IT Director on incidents, changes, architecture, and lifecycle planning.

Requirements

• Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification, or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, switching, DHCP, DNS, VPN technologies, wireless networking, and network security.
• Practical experience administering Cisco and/or Meraki firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure, along with ISP circuits and telecommunications vendors.
• Ability to troubleshoot end-user devices and operating-system-level network issues and maintain diagrams, inventories, procedures, standards, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, prioritization, written communication, verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability and willingness to work primarily onsite in Salt Lake City and travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Active pursuit of or interest in Cisco CCNP certification.
• Experience in distributed or multi-site environments, wireless surveys, RF troubleshooting, or wireless design.
• Experience coordinating structured cabling projects and contractors.
• Experience with Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Logitech Rally, personnel access control platforms, VoIP, POTS, fax, or analog lines.
