Business Systems Analyst

Location: Hybrid position based in Cary, North Carolina, United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Analyze current-state and future-state business processes, identify gaps and risks, and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Elicit business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for technical teams.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, defect triage, acceptance criteria, and solution delivery.
• Plan and manage small-to-medium projects and application enhancements across scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate internal development, infrastructure, QA, vendor, and business resources while tracking risks and status.
• Act as the ICT point of contact for business stakeholders, supporting process improvement, automation, demand prioritization, and roadmap planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience as a business systems analyst, business analyst, or in a comparable enterprise applications role.
• Experience eliciting requirements from non-technical stakeholders and preparing functional specifications.
• Experience supporting application enhancements and projects through the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across business and technical audiences.
• Experience with enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, or Commercial systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or another regulated life sciences environment.
• Experience with validated systems and GxP computer system validation.
• Knowledge of regulated manufacturing, quality, clinical, regulatory, supply chain, or commercial processes.
• Experience with SAP, Veeva, Salesforce, Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid delivery, Jira, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, or Visio.
