Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $95,000–$125,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate large-scale, secure, and resilient Microsoft Azure platforms.
• Own the end-to-end cloud engineering lifecycle for production workloads, including architecture, automation, and operational excellence.
• Build infrastructure as code and CI/CD automation for infrastructure and applications.
• Design and operate Azure Kubernetes Service clusters at scale.
• Implement security hardening, identity management, monitoring, alerting, observability, and cost optimization.
• Partner with application development, security, and SRE teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and compliant cloud-native solutions.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, EAD holder, or eligible H-1B transfer candidate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of cloud engineering experience, including 3 years focused on Microsoft Azure in production environments.
• Strong experience with Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, platform-as-a-service offerings, and infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Production experience with AKS, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and scripting in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, distributed-workload observability, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments spanning Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Istio or Linkerd on AKS.
• Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost-management tooling.
• Experience with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP environments.
