Registered Nurse, RN - Emergency Department

Location: Tufts Medical Center, Boston, United States; on-site emergency department role

Salary: $43.01–$70.95 per hour, based on full-time equivalent

What you will do

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for adult and pediatric emergency patients.
• Provide nursing procedures, treatments, medication administration, health education, and patient advocacy.
• Coordinate care plans, interdisciplinary communication, patient and family meetings, and discharge planning.
• Deliver evidence-based care in a Level I Adult Trauma Center, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Pediatric Room, and Express Care Center.
• Participate in patient safety, quality improvement, performance improvement, regulatory, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Delegate responsibilities, support colleagues, mentor new staff and students, and contribute to shared governance.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, and other department-relevant certifications may be required.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care across the lifespan.
• Ability to manage emergency and crisis situations, irregular hours, prolonged standing and walking, and patient transfers.
• Must maintain current licensure and comply with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
