Registered Nurse, RN – Operating Room

Location: Lowell General Hospital, Main Campus – Operating Room, Lowell, Massachusetts, United States. Full-time day and night shifts are available.

Salary: $37.50–$75.32 per hour, based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Provide direct professional nursing care to patients and families in a complex operating room environment.
• Conduct and document clinical assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Use nursing judgment to manage patient assignments, delegate care, and coordinate with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families, support informed decisions, and prepare comprehensive discharge plans.
• Apply evidence-based practice and research while participating in performance improvement and departmental committees.
• Support onboarding and professional growth through staff development, precepting, and education.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Department-specific certifications relevant to the patient population may be required.
• Experience requirements vary by pathway level: Level I requires less than 12 months of RN experience; Level II requires 12 months to less than 3 years; Level III requires 3 to less than 8 years; Level IV requires 8 years.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge of the nursing process are required.
• BSN is preferred.
