Registered Nurse, RN - R3 Intermediate Care

Location: Riley 3 (R3) Intermediate Care Unit, Saints Campus, Lowell General Hospital, Lowell, Massachusetts. Evening/night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week. Weekend and holiday commitment required.

Pay range: $37.50–$68.47 per hour based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Provide direct nursing care to intermediate-care patients and their families.
• Conduct and document accurate clinical assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Evaluate patient progress and revise care plans based on changes in health status.
• Educate patients and families, support informed decisions, and coordinate discharge planning and referrals.
• Manage patient assignments, delegate care appropriately, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Support new staff development through precepting and participate in performance improvement, professional development, and departmental committees.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• 12 months to less than 3 years of RN experience required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Knowledge and application of the nursing process.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including prolonged standing and walking, patient turning, and occasional lifting of 30–35 pounds.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
