Patient Service Representative-Radiology Front Desk (Healthcare)

Location: Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital, Lake Forest, Illinois, United States. Full-time onsite schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. coverage and rotating Saturdays from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Salary: USD 18.57–25.07 per hour

What you will do

• Greet patients and guests, confirm identities, and provide visit information.
• Complete patient check-in, check-out, registration, and appointment scheduling.
• Update patient demographic and insurance information and obtain required consents and authorizations.
• Collect co-payments, past-due balances, and point-of-service payments.
• Post payments, process billing information, and close the end-of-day cash drawer.
• Keep the waiting area comfortable and communicate appointment delays or changes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service position.
• Ability to work the specified onsite weekday schedule and rotating Saturdays.
• Compliance with organizational policies, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous healthcare experience.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Bilingual communication skills.
