Staff Nurse Inpatient-PACU Part-time Days

Location: McHenry, Illinois, United States; onsite day shift

Salary: USD 34.50–55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Assess acutely ill patients, identify expected outcomes, and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Implement, coordinate, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient progress.
• Direct delegated care and determine the appropriate use of nursing assistants.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff.
• Document care plans, communications, interventions, and patient responses in the health record.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, unit projects, and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; an Associate Degree in Nursing is accepted with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Background check required for newly hired team members and certain internal transfers.

Nice to have

• Experience in the relevant clinical area.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist, Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse certification.
