Nurse Practitioner - PRN

Location: Onsite at health centers in Covington, Fort Wright, and Florence, Kentucky

What you will do

• Provide primary and preventive care to client employees and their dependents.
• Conduct physical examinations and perform procedures including injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develop patient care plans, document progress, and maintain accurate health records.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe or recommend treatments, and refer patients to specialists when needed.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and health maintenance, and coach nursing staff on best practices.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care.

Requirements

• At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or emergency department settings.
• Current RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses or certificates for the applicable states of practice.
• State prescriptive authority and a federal DEA license matching each applicable state of practice.
• Current ANCC or AANP national certification.
• Master’s degree in Nursing; transcripts may be required if the degree certificate does not specify Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on the contract scope.
