Director, Product Design Operations (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based out of the San Francisco, California office; candidates residing in Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, West Virginia, or Wisconsin are not being considered.

Salary: $189,559–$266,000 annually, depending on US compensation region, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal equity, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Set the strategy, priorities, operating model, and planning rhythms for Product Operations within the broader Product & Design Operations organization.
• Establish portfolio, resource, headcount, capacity, dependency, and budget management practices across product verticals.
• Guide scalable systems for capturing and routing customer feedback, research, reviews, and market signals to Product teams.
• Direct the use of automation and AI to improve operational processes and evolve Product Management practices.
• Set standards for product reporting, dashboards, executive narratives, recommendations, and decision materials.
• Lead and allocate the Product Producer team across the organization’s most complex programs, workshops, planning sessions, and cross-functional forums.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Product Operations, Product Management, Production, Program Management, or related disciplines, including significant people and organizational leadership.
• Experience building and leading Product Operations functions and high-performing teams in complex, cross-functional organizations.
• Experience working across integrated hardware and software products.
• Experience with portfolio planning, resource allocation, headcount planning, and budget management.
• Strong product and design intuition, organizational judgment, strategic facilitation, and executive communication skills.
• Practical curiosity about AI and experience adopting tools and processes that improve organizational velocity.
