Principal Product Manager (AI Talent and HR Technology)

Location: Mountain View, California or San Diego, California

Salary: Mountain View $243,000–$328,500; San Diego $230,000–$311,000 base pay per year, with potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for talent acquisition technology across sourcing, recruiting CRM, requisition management, interviews, assessments, background checks, and onboarding handoffs.
• Design and launch AI-native and agentic hiring experiences for sourcing, screening, scheduling, interview intelligence, and candidate communications with human-in-the-loop controls.
• Partner with People and Places leadership, talent acquisition leaders, recruiters, engineering, legal, privacy, and security teams.
• Lead build, buy, and extend decisions and evaluate vendors for capability, model quality, bias, data rights, security, and total cost of ownership.
• Establish governance for candidate privacy, responsible AI, regulatory compliance, auditability, durable integrations, and data quality.
• Improve recruiter productivity, candidate experience, hiring cycle time, cost per hire, risk, and compliance while mentoring product managers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience, including 5+ years in enterprise-scale HR technology and demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition systems.
• Experience with applicant tracking and recruiting CRM platforms such as Avature, Workday Recruiting, Greenhouse, or iCIMS, as well as core HCM, interview intelligence, assessment, onboarding, and HR service delivery systems.
• Experience shipping AI-powered product experiences, including agent workflows, evaluation criteria, quality standards, guardrails, human-in-the-loop design, LLMs, retrieval, and agentic architectures.
• Knowledge of candidate data privacy, GDPR, CCPA, bias and adverse-impact requirements, AI hiring regulation, and enterprise data governance.
• Technical fluency in APIs, iPaaS, workflow automation, event-based integrations, reporting, and analytics architectures.
• Experience managing enterprise vendors, enforcing SLA and value commitments, communicating with executives, and leading cross-functional change.
