What you will do

• Lead Test Operations & Execution and Test Development & Design teams supporting aircraft production and automation.
• Own end-to-end functional testing across avionics, low-voltage, and high-voltage systems, including ATP authoring, shop-floor execution, and airworthiness compliance records.
• Partner with Design Engineering on Design for Testability and system test-plan validation.
• Define the manufacturing test roadmap from prototype and low-rate initial production through full-rate production, optimizing capacity, coverage, and cycle times.
• Design, plan capital expenditure for, procure, and qualify test stands, fixtures, GSE, and automated test equipment.
• Hire, mentor, and develop test engineers and technicians while promoting rigor, safety, continuous improvement, and cross-functional alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Software, Manufacturing, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of experience testing complex electromechanical hardware and 3+ years directly managing engineering teams.
• Experience developing manufacturing and test documentation, including work instructions, BOPs, and process standards.
• Experience designing, procuring, and qualifying test equipment, fixtures, and GSE, including capital expenditure justification.
• Hands-on experience with test automation using Python, LabVIEW, or TestStand; aircraft communication protocols including CAN, Ethernet, and ARINC 429; and complex schematics.
• Experience supporting conformity and inspection activities for test operations.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling eVTOL, UAV, or advanced air mobility test operations during a high-rate production ramp.
• Experience with FAA conformity and certification processes and AS9100 quality standards.
