Senior Software Engineer I, Email

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work

Salary: $128,842–$232,200 per year base pay for candidates based in the United States. Expected OTE is $144,000–$258,000 per year, including bonus or commission.

What you will do

• Build and maintain core infrastructure for delivering billions of personalized emails each month.
• Develop highly parallelized systems for email personalization and delivery.
• Process reporting data and build REST APIs for managing and tracking user subscriptions.
• Develop web pages for end-user preference management and dashboards for configuring customer email domains.
• Build new features, improve performance, and optimize systems for resilience as they scale.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and provide technical guidance to teammates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Experience as a technical leader.
• Strong understanding of software design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Self-starting approach with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Previous experience working in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in New York City.

Nice to have

• Professional experience building software at scale.
• Experience with Ruby, Go, TypeScript, JavaScript, MongoDB, Postgres, Ruby on Rails, or React.
• Experience with agile processes.
