Principal/Senior Software Engineer

Location: Bulgaria, Poland, or Romania; work from the European Union region with a work permit required

What you will do

• Design and develop production-grade full-stack web applications and enterprise software.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and establish engineering patterns, standards, and best practices.
• Translate product requirements into pragmatic, scalable technical solutions.
• Build frontend and backend solutions with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Node.js or Deno.
• Design REST APIs, webhooks, event-driven integrations, and third-party SaaS connections.
• Contribute to security, performance, reliability, CI/CD, testing, observability, mentoring, and cross-functional engineering practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong production expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Node.js or Deno.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, data modelling, performance, Supabase or comparable Backend-as-a-Service platforms, authentication, and access controls.
• Experience designing REST APIs, webhooks, event-driven solutions, OAuth 2.0, and secure third-party integrations.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorisation, permissions, secure application design, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, performance, and reliability.
• Must work from the European Union region and hold a work permit.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM APIs, AI SDKs, or AI-enabled applications.
• Familiarity with Vercel, TanStack Query, React Router, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/Radix, GitHub, or Jira.
• Experience applying GenAI, agent-based workflows, automation patterns, or AI-augmented development within the SDLC.
