Senior Fullstack Developer (AI-Native)

Location: Bulgaria, Poland, or Romania; work from the European Union region with a work permit required

What you will do

• Build and improve product experiences for small business owners and accountants.
• Develop backend services, REST APIs, integrations, and data models for accounting systems.
• Design and ship reliable AI-powered workflows using LLM APIs, tool calling, streaming, and agent flows.
• Build frontend experiences with React and Next.js, including SSR, SSG, and the App Router.
• Improve application reliability, performance, testing, and maintainability.
• Work with product, engineering, and domain experts to take ideas from analysis through deployment.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of commercial fullstack software development experience.
• Strong Node.js, Express, TypeScript, React, and Next.js skills.
• Experience designing REST APIs, modeling and optimizing PostgreSQL databases, and writing unit and integration tests.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and at least one major cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Production experience with AI and LLM technologies, including APIs, tool calling, streaming, prompting, or agent workflows.
• Must work from the European Union region and hold a work permit.

Nice to have

• NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis, and ORM tools such as Prisma or TypeORM.
• RAG, embeddings, prompt engineering, AI agents, and structured GenAI workflows.
• End-to-end testing with Playwright or Cypress.
• Microservices, monorepos, Nx, Turborepo, or cloud certifications.
• Experience working in a startup or small, fast-moving team.
