What you will do

• Register and schedule patients for ophthalmology surgical and pre-operative procedures.
• Maintain calendars and schedules related to surgical and pre-operative procedures.
• Verify insurance information and obtain or facilitate required pre-certifications.
• Explain financial responsibilities, procedure information, and patient instructions.
• Answer incoming patient inquiries and support patient communication.
• Provide cross-functional support as a Patient Service Representative or Patient Liaison when needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 2 years of previous healthcare experience.
• Experience in a customer service role.
• Ability to work full-time on the day shift at the Winfield, Illinois location.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous experience with an electronic medical records system.
