Outreach Specialist, Pharmacy

Location: Remote, United States; availability to work any shift between 8 AM–7 PM EST, with potential evening and Saturday coverage.

What you will do

• Conduct high-volume inbound and outbound calls with patients, providers, and pharmacies using established scripts and protocols.
• Identify and resolve barriers to medication adherence, including cost, forgetfulness, and lack of perceived need.
• Use empathy, education, influence, and negotiation to secure patient commitment to prescribed medication plans.
• Coordinate with medical providers and pharmacies to support timely prescription refills.
• Document interactions, outcomes, and barriers accurately in designated systems.
• Identify workflow improvements, participate in pharmacy quality metric training, and share best practices with colleagues.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least one year of experience in a call center environment providing patient outreach.
• Excellent verbal communication, active listening, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with call center platforms, electronic health records, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and ability to work for prolonged periods at a computer.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification, such as CPhT or ExCPT, or an active pharmacy technician license in any state.
