Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (Healthcare)

Location: Austin, Minnesota (MN-Austin); onsite role

Pay range: $22.00–$28.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support primary care physicians and deliver an integrated patient experience across clinical and front-desk functions.
• Escort patients, prepare exam rooms, review medical information, collect health updates, and record accurate data.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer injections and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures under provider direction.
• Schedule patients, manage medical record requests, coordinate referrals and specialist visits, and handle check-in and check-out.
• Process test results and communicate them to patients through approved channels.
• Participate in patient outreach, care-gap identification, and development of individual care plans.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care; requirements may vary by clinic.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred and required where mandated by the state.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
