Medical Assistant - PRN

Location: IL-Marion, United States; onsite patient-care role

Salary: $20.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare examination rooms, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Review medical information, collect updated health details, take vital signs, draw blood, administer injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations under provider direction and written orders.
• Perform scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, documentation, referrals, and specialist coordination.
• Process test results, update medical records, and communicate results to patients as directed.
• Collaborate with the care team on individual patient care plans and outreach to improve patient engagement.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is preferred and required where mandated by the state.
• CPR/BLS certification required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
