Anesthesia Technician II

Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, IL, United States. Full-time position with rotating shifts and 24/7 departmental coverage.

Salary: USD 22.95–33.28 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide perioperative technical and clinical support to anesthesia providers during surgical procedures.
• Prepare patients, monitoring equipment, sterile fields, vascular access supplies, airway equipment, and anesthesia-related devices.
• Assist with intubation, patient positioning, transfers, emergency response, invasive monitoring, and patient security under licensed anesthesia provider supervision.
• Prepare, disinfect, troubleshoot, and maintain anesthesia machines, monitors, infusion equipment, blood salvage systems, warming equipment, and airway devices.
• Perform anesthesia-related point-of-care testing, maintain inventory, and support operating-room turnover and readiness.
• Provide anesthesia support in ICUs, interventional radiology, MRI, GI, CT, EP, and emergency departments; orient new staff and attend continuing-education sessions.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of technical healthcare experience.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, time management, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with anesthesia, surgical, and hospital teams.
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and move at least 35 pounds.
• Ability to work onsite in Chicago with rotating shifts and 24/7 coverage requirements.
