Medical Assistant, Pomona Valley

Location: Onsite at Pomona Valley region clinics in California, including Ontario, Pomona, Rancho Cucamonga, Chino, Claremont, San Bernardino, and Upland

Hourly pay range: $21–$23 USD

What you will do

• Perform vital signs measurement and initial patient intake.
• Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for visits with physicians, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants.
• Prepare for and assist during physician examinations.
• Perform basic point-of-care tests and administer medications or vaccines within the Medical Assistant scope of practice.
• Explain care plans and action items to patients.
• Support scheduling, referrals, care coordination, team huddles, and clinic problem solving.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant certificate in California required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Basic office equipment and computer skills.
• Punctual, collaborative, and flexible approach to teamwork.
• Full-time onsite work at a Pomona Valley region clinical site is required.

Nice to have

• One year of medical group experience.
• Additional clinical experience such as EMT, CNA, or phlebotomy certification.
• Ability to speak multiple languages.
