Manager, Workforce Health & Safety

Location: 541 N. Fairbanks, Chicago, IL, United States; requires travel to designated hirify.global locations.

Salary: USD 52.32–75.86 per hour

What you will do

• Lead workforce health and safety operations, programs, and initiatives for a designated region or business unit.
• Manage and develop a team of workforce health and safety professionals.
• Create, analyze, measure, and report workforce health and safety metrics, including employee injury, illness, and exposure data.
• Oversee SafetyNet systems, third-party programming, system enhancements, break/fixes, and complex projects.
• Identify root causes and risks, then implement policies, process improvements, training, and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with occupational health partners and stakeholders on projects, vaccination clinics, audits, integrations, and policy updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational or environmental health, public health, industrial hygiene, or a related field, or comparable experience.
• Seven to ten years of progressive relevant work experience.
• Experience managing teams and executing large-scale projects from concept through implementation.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, presentation, relationship-building, and change-management skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA, Joint Commission, CMS, IDPH, and other relevant health and safety standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to travel to designated hirify.global locations.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in occupational or environmental health, public health, business, or a related field.
• Three to five years of project management or process improvement experience.
• Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
