Medical Assistant-Urology Full Time Days (Urology)

Location: Primarily Lake Forest Hospital campus, Lake Forest, Illinois, with travel to the Grayslake clinic at least once per week. Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour

What you will do

• Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff with patient flow and clinical activities.
• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, update medical information, and document visit details.
• Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, and stock exam rooms, equipment, instruments, medications, and vaccines.
• Communicate professionally with patients and the care team while maintaining confidentiality and patient satisfaction.
• Perform specialty procedures and other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current eligible Medical Assistant certification or documentation of eligibility to take an approved certification exam; certification must be completed within six months of employment.
• American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
• Ability to travel to the Grayslake clinic when needed, at least once per week.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
