Salary: $47,840–$58,024 per year

What you will do
- Provide direct patient care, including obtaining vital signs, pain screens, height, weight, and other clinical measurements.
- Collect, label, and transport patient specimens while instructing patients and families on collection procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy and EKGs as applicable and assist nursing and medical staff with clinical procedures.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records, report abnormal findings, and support research-specific data entry when required.
- Coordinate patient flow, communicate wait times, transport patients and clinical materials, and assist with medical record preparation.
- Maintain supplies, equipment, cleanliness, emergency communication systems, and a safe patient-care environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with an externship, or at least one year of experience in a medical or clinical assistant, certified nursing assistant, emergency medical technician, or related clinical role.
- Nursing students in an accredited bachelor’s program with at least two completed clinical rotations may be considered.
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, technical, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a busy clinical environment with patients of all ages and complex needs.
Nice to have
- Phlebotomy certification may be preferred for certain locations.
- Additional college coursework.
