Medical Assistant (Healthcare)

Location: Hamilton, Ohio, United States; onsite at a health center

Salary: $20.70–$23.00 per hour

What you will do

• Interview patients and measure vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient health records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications and injections, perform laboratory tests, and operate EKG and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Support front-desk operations, schedule appointments, make follow-up calls, and order medical supplies.

Requirements

• National Medical Assisting certification from an approved organization, or an accredited Medical Assistant program certificate/diploma with transcripts and a completed hands-on externship; fully online courses are not accepted.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
• State-specific requirements may apply, including a lab certificate in Nevada and CMA certification from an approved certifying body in South Carolina.
