Location: 633 N. Saint Clair St., Chicago, Illinois, United States; full-time day shift.

Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour.

What you will do

  • Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff while facilitating efficient patient flow.
  • Escort and prepare patients, obtain vital signs, update medical information, and report significant changes to providers.
  • Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, CLIA-waived testing, and other clinical procedures.
  • Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, stock, and maintain exam rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
  • Communicate professionally with patients and the care team while protecting patient confidentiality.
  • Perform specialty procedures and other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current eligible medical assistant certification or documentation proving eligibility to take an approved certification exam; certification must be completed within six months of employment.
  • American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
  • Zero to two years of relevant experience.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and care teams.

Nice to have

  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program.
  • One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.
