Medical Assistant

Salary: $21.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare examination rooms, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Review and update patient health information, take vital signs, perform blood draws, give injections, apply wound dressings, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations under provider direction and written orders.
• Manage front-desk activities, including scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, referrals, and specialist coordination.
• Document patient information accurately, process test results, and communicate results according to provider instructions.
• Participate in patient outreach and collaborate with the care team to address gaps in care.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration; certification or registration is required where mandated by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
