Patient Access Associate Specialist - PRN

Location: Onsite at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, FL; candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Perform patient admitting, pre-registration, and account registration for hospital services.
• Assign accurate medical record numbers, collect demographic and insurance information, and process physician orders.
• Verify insurance eligibility, select insurance plan codes, enter benefit data, and support point-of-service collections and clean claims.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute, explain, and document consent, Medicare, Tricare, observation, and other required forms.
• Conduct account audits, correct account information, complete reporting, and provide statistical data to Patient Access leadership.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and provide compassionate customer service to patients, guarantors, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Ability to work onsite at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.
• Must be inquisitive and open to innovation, including AI, to improve patient and client experiences.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire; certification is company-paid.
