Medical Assistant - Pediatrics Lincoln Park Full Time Days (Pediatrics): Supporting pediatric physicians, nurses, and patients through clinic flow management, vital signs, examinations, procedures, and administrative functions with an accent on patient safety, immunizations, venipuncture, specimen collection, and room readiness. Focus on coordinating efficient ambulatory care, maintaining clinical equipment and supplies, and communicating effectively with patients and the care team.

Location: 1460 N. Halsted, Chicago, IL, United States; onsite, Monday–Friday, full-time day shift. Flexible work hours required.

Salary: USD 19.13–25.83 per hour

What you will do

  • Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff with patient flow and clinical care.
  • Escort and prepare pediatric patients, obtain vital signs, update medical information, and document visit details.
  • Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, CLIA-waived testing, and other delegated procedures.
  • Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, and restock examination rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
  • Communicate professionally with patients and the care team while maintaining confidentiality and patient satisfaction.
  • Follow clinic safety, opening, closing, inventory, and equipment-maintenance procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current eligible Medical Assistant certification or documentation of eligibility for an approved certification examination; certification must be obtained within six months of employment.
  • American Heart Association-accredited BLS/CPR certification.
  • Zero to two years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work full-time Monday–Friday on the day shift with flexible hours.
  • Ability to complete required background-check procedures.

Nice to have

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
  • One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.
