Regional DC Safety Manager

What you will do

• Coordinate and oversee general process safety, food safety, sanitation, and facility security functions.
• Enforce safety policies and regulatory programs, including OSHA, EPA, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, confined space, and material handling requirements.
• Lead the facility Safety Committee and communicate safety topics, procedures, and corrective actions to personnel.
• Conduct safety, sanitation, security, emergency evacuation, and compliance audits; maintain incident, OSHA, food safety, temperature control, and other required reports.
• Monitor EPSM alarms and alerts, chemical and SDS records, CO2 levels where applicable, and emergency procedures.
• Partner with departments, carriers, vendors, customers, and government agencies to reduce risk, prevent injuries, and improve compliance.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree strongly encouraged, with continuing technical education or comparable business experience preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse and transportation operations, food handling procedures, OSHA, EPA, and the Code of Federal Regulations.
• Experience or knowledge of safety software such as EPSM and SDS/MSDS incident management systems.
• OSHA 10-hour, OSHA 30-hour, or OSHA General Duty training preferred.
• English proficiency is required for reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally, work at heights, use PPE, and operate in noisy and freezing warehouse conditions.
