Safety Manager (Transmission & Distribution)

Location: Alvarado, Texas, United States; onsite work in a company-designated office or field location

What you will do

• Manage ongoing safety programs for transmission and distribution construction projects.
• Work with Operations to ensure appropriate safety staffing.
• Verify fieldwork compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Audit safety engineers and provide leadership, guidance, and feedback.
• Coordinate cross-training and conduct safety training.
• Perform announced and unannounced inspections, surveys, evaluations, and safety reporting.

Requirements

• Experience with OSHA recordkeeping, reporting, Method of Procedure writing, and OSHA/DOT requirements.
• Experience with job hazard and safety analysis and transmission and distribution line construction.
• Management experience in a safety role.
• Safety or related technical undergraduate degree and safety credentials such as OSHA 501 or OTI certifications.
• Knowledge of utility and construction safety programs, risk management, and OSHA Strategic Partnership programs.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
