Immediate Care Technician ICC Full-time

Location: 2635 Church Rd., Aurora, Illinois, United States; onsite clinical role.

Salary: $20.50–$26.65 per hour.

What you will do

• Support physicians and advanced practice providers by facilitating patient flow and preparing patients for examinations.
• Obtain and document vital signs, patient history updates, allergies, smoking history, pharmacy information, and visit reasons.
• Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, CLIA-waived testing, wound care, and splinting.
• Prepare, clean, disinfect, and stock examination rooms and maintain clinical equipment, instruments, medications, and supplies.
• Assist with referrals, transfers, discharges, prescriptions, and other delegated clinical procedures.
• Communicate professionally with patients and care teams while supporting safe, efficient, and satisfactory visits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Written proof of eligibility to take an approved medical assistant certification exam, or an EMT-Paramedic, EMT-Basic, or Illinois EMT certification upon hire.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant certification within the first six months of employment, when applicable.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong computer skills and successful completion of a pre-employment competency exam.
• Must work onsite in Aurora, Illinois.

Nice to have

• Electronic medical record experience.
• College degree or interest in healthcare.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
