Clinical Care Technician, CCT (36 hrs/week) - Adult Medical Unit

Location: Tufts Medical Center; onsite clinical work with rotating day, night, and weekend shifts

Salary: $20.12–$25.15 base pay range, based on full-time equivalent

What you will do

• Assist registered nurses with direct, patient-centered care and delegated clinical tasks.
• Support activities of daily living, mobility, comfort measures, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Collect, document, and communicate patient clinical data, specimens, and test results.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs, connect monitoring equipment, prime non-medicated IV tubing, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare rooms and complete admission, transfer, and discharge tasks.
• Promote patient safety through rounding, call-light response, patient transport, sitter duties, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, computer, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lift 30–35 pounds, turn patients, and stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care and handle confidential material.

Nice to have

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) certification.
• Completion of nursing fundamentals in an accredited nursing program.
• One year of experience as a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, Critical Care Technician, or Patient Care Technician.
• Acute care experience.
