Clinical Pharmacist (Healthcare)

Location: 12251 S. 80th Av., Palos Heights, Illinois, United States. Full-time, on-site day position with 8-hour shifts, rotational start times of 5:15 a.m., 7:30 a.m., or 9:30 a.m., every third weekend, and two holidays per year.

Salary: USD 58.00–84.10 per hour.

What you will do

• Interpret medication orders and identify, prevent, and resolve medication-related problems.
• Monitor drug interactions, therapeutic duplication, adverse reactions, pharmacokinetics, laboratory results, and therapeutic drug monitoring programs.
• Document medication orders and maintain comprehensive patient profiles in the electronic health record.
• Compound, verify, package, label, and dispense medications, including sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition.
• Provide medication information, education, and consultation to patients, families, physicians, nurses, students, residents, and pharmacy staff.
• Support formulary management, automated dispensing cabinet operations, emergency medication response, quality improvement, and medication-use review activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Active clinical pharmacist license in the state of Illinois through IDFPR.
• Experience in operating room satellite, centralized, and decentralized pharmacy operations.
• Ability to compound and dispense sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products.
• Ability to work rotational day shifts, every third weekend, and two holidays per year.

Nice to have

• Training or knowledge in specialty areas such as neonatology, critical care, or oncology.
• Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent hospital pharmacy experience.
