Clinical Pharmacist (Pharmacy)

Salary: $55.00–$68.16 per hour, based on full-time equivalent

What you will do

• Review, interpret, approve, and enter medication orders, checking indications, dosage, allergies, interactions, duplication, and clinical appropriateness.
• Prepare, compound, label, and dispense medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Monitor drug therapies, conduct medication histories and reconciliation, provide medication optimization consultations, and educate patients and families.
• Provide drug information and clinical guidance to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, students, interns, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, medication-use evaluations, quality programs, treatment guidelines, protocols, and clinical pathways.
• Supervise support personnel and provide operational coverage, including weekend, holiday, evening, night, and on-call shifts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Current pharmacist license required.
• At least one year of related experience.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, clinical best practices, medication optimization, and controlled-drug inventory management.
• Experience with electronic medical records, pharmacy computer systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Pharmacy residency training.
• Experience with chronic health condition and population management, health plan formularies, or motivational interviewing.
