Clinical Shift Coordinator (Charge) RN-Maternal Fetal Medicine (Nursing)

Location: 302 Randall Rd., Geneva, Illinois, United States; onsite day shift

Salary: $38.50–$61.60 per hour

What you will do

• Coordinate nursing care, patient placement, staffing assignments, and daily operations for the unit.
• Monitor unstable, complex, and high-risk patient conditions and maintain patient safety standards.
• Oversee regulatory compliance, documentation, staffing records, timekeeping, charges, equipment, and life-safety practices.
• Lead staff huddles and rounding, coach employees, support onboarding, assign preceptors, and participate in interviews and evaluations.
• Collaborate with physicians, managers, educators, other units, patients, and families to maintain effective care delivery.
• Support quality improvement, evidence-based practice, patient satisfaction initiatives, cost effectiveness, and regulatory readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and at least three years of RN experience.
• Active RN license in the State of Illinois required.
• English communication skills required, both verbally and in writing.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification and telemetry competency.
• Basic computer knowledge, effective communication, customer service skills, and knowledge of nursing practice standards.
• Ability to assess when interpreter services are needed and use them effectively.

Nice to have

• Master of Science in Nursing.
• At least two years of experience in a relevant clinical specialty.
• Cert NRN or specialty certification such as CV-RN, CHFN, CCRN, PCCN, CNML, or NE-BC.
• Specialty certification may be required within two years.
