Registered Nurse - Adult Step Down Unit - Full Time - Nights

Location: Manchester - Elliot Hospital, United States of America. Onsite night shift, 7 p.m.–7 a.m., with weekend and holiday rotation.

Sign-on bonus up to $15,000, paid at 3, 6, and 12 months.

What you will do

• Provide nursing care for acutely ill, moderately complex medical, surgical, cardiac, trauma, and psychiatric patients.
• Perform close patient observation, assessment, intervention, and monitoring, including telemetry care.
• Recognize and manage rapidly changing patient conditions using clinical decision-making and critical thinking.
• Involve patients and families in goal setting and care planning, and communicate plans across shifts and care settings.
• Apply current evidence, American Nurses Association standards, and critical and progressive care practices.
• Support unit operations, professional development, practice improvements, and effective clinical care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience; telemetry and dysrhythmia management experience is preferred.
• Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate Registered Nurse licensure is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain BLS qualification; ACLS is preferred.
• Commitment to pursuing professional certification when eligible or within three years of entering the specialty.
• Ability to develop basic computer skills as health-system systems are introduced or upgraded.
