What you will do

• Assess acutely ill patients and develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Prescribe and delegate nursing care and direct support staff involved in patient care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff to coordinate services and document care decisions.
• Evaluate and document patient responses to interventions in the health record.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Use research findings and other evidence to guide clinical practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• An Associate Degree in Nursing is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• A background check is required for newly hired team members and certain internal transfers.

Nice to have

• Experience in the relevant clinical area.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist, Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse credentials.
