Data Protection Assistant

What you will do

• Support the administration and maintenance of the Group's data protection framework.
• Assist with data subject rights requests, including access, deletion and correction requests.
• Maintain processing activity records, risk assessments, policies, procedures and governance documentation.
• Support the investigation and documentation of data protection incidents and breaches.
• Assist with supplier due diligence, privacy reviews for new projects and routine privacy queries.
• Prepare employee guidance and awareness materials, monitor regulatory updates and provide operational support.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an administrative, compliance, governance or support role.
• Understanding of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with confidence handling confidential information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to develop knowledge of privacy regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience or exposure to data protection, compliance, governance, risk or legal administration.
• Experience in a regulated environment such as financial services, insurance, healthcare or retail.
• Studies or qualifications in law, business, compliance or information governance.
• Interest in privacy, technology, information security or data governance.
