Privacy By Design Assistant (Telecommunications)

Location: Newbury, United Kingdom; hybrid working with office attendance 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month

What you will do

• Support the delivery of Privacy by Design activities and help ensure compliance with data protection legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Complete and review Data Protection Impact Assessments, providing practical and risk-based privacy guidance.
• Assist with assessing and managing personal data breaches, including identifying and implementing mitigations.
• Identify, assess, and manage privacy risks while applying appropriate controls and assurance frameworks.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across the business and provide balanced, commercially focused privacy advice.
• Improve, simplify, automate, and scale privacy processes through training, guidance, awareness, and better ways of working.

Requirements

• Experience working in data protection and Privacy by Design environments.
• Experience conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments and applying Privacy by Design principles.
• Understanding of large customer datasets in a B2C environment.
• Ability to analyse complex information, identify risks and insights, and translate them into practical recommendations.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, commercial awareness, judgement, and collaborative working skills.
• Interest in technology, telecommunications, and emerging legal and regulatory developments; a relevant degree or recognised privacy qualification is beneficial.
