Patient Care Tech, ACTT (24hrs/week-Night Shift)

Location: Lowell General Hospital, Main Campus-Emergency Room, Lowell. Onsite night shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., 24 hours per week, with every other weekend and rotating holiday shifts required.

Pay range: $20.12–$25.15, based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Provide activities of daily living and basic patient care under the direction of nurses.
• Prepare patient rooms, assist with meals, transport patients, and maintain a clean and safe care environment.
• Use glucometers and lift-assistance devices, collect specimens, and record and report accurate patient data.
• Support patient admissions, transfers, discharges, chart maintenance, and related clerical duties.
• Perform continuous patient observation when assigned as a Patient Sitter.
• Communicate with patients, families, visitors, and hospital personnel while supporting the multidisciplinary care team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to provide acute inpatient care, primarily in the Emergency Department.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under stress, manage interruptions, respond to emergencies, and care for critically ill patients.
• Ability to lift 30–35 lbs, turn patients, and stand or walk for extended periods.

Nice to have

• One year of healthcare or nursing service experience.
• Certification as a patient care technician, clinical associate, certified nursing assistant, or equivalent.
