Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, IL, United States; onsite night shift

Salary: $24.26 per hour

What you will do

• Assist registered nurses with direct and indirect patient care activities.
• Measure and document vital signs, intake and output, blood glucose, EKGs, and patient observations.
• Provide adult and newborn care, including feeding, bathing, mobility assistance, specimen collection, and comfort measures.
• Support respiratory care by setting up oxygen, suction, cardiac monitoring, oximetry, and other equipment.
• Respond to emergencies, initiate basic life support, transport patients, and promptly report changes in condition.
• Maintain room readiness, supplies, equipment, documentation, quality checks, and a safe and clean care environment.

Requirements

• CNA certification or current enrollment in a School of Nursing with completed basic clinical rotations.
• CPR recognition from the American Heart Association with BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• High school diploma required.
• Unit-based recognition for capillary blood glucose monitoring and at least 90% on annual mandatory Health and Safety Training quizzes.
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred, with the ability to work with patients, families, nursing staff, and medical staff.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree, one year of college or nursing education, or equivalent experience is preferred.
