Patient Care Tech - Cardiovascular Part Time Nights (Cardiovascular)

Location: 1000 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, Illinois, United States; onsite night shift

Salary: $18.22–$24.60 per hour

What you will do

• Collect, label, and transport specimens and perform point-of-care testing.
• Obtain 12-lead EKGs, perform bladder scans, and discontinue saline locks, urinary catheters, and telemetry monitoring packs.
• Assist patients with hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, positioning, and other individualized care needs.
• Conduct hourly rounding, document patient-care data, respond to call lights, and support the clinical RN and physician.
• Serve as a Safety Attendant/Telesitter Monitor by maintaining continuous visual observation and reporting patient needs or environmental hazards.
• Support unit operations, including calls, advance directives, admissions through the Electronic Bed Board, and EMR downtime readiness.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited CNA program with listing on the Illinois CNA Registry, or successful completion of one nursing-student clinical rotation with written verification.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
• Completion of required training and compliance with applicable healthcare, safety, and regulatory standards.
