Patient Care Technician-Medical Surgical Oncology Part Time Nights

Location: 4201 Medical Center Dr., McHenry, Illinois, United States; onsite, part-time night position

Salary: $17.05–$23.02 per hour

What you will do

• Perform basic nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Monitor vital signs and blood glucose, and record intake and output.
• Assist patients with bathing, grooming, eating, and other activities of daily living.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in patients’ physical, mental, or emotional condition.
• Maintain clean, orderly patient rooms and support unit workflow.
• Coordinate communication between patients, families, nursing staff, and related departments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician, or completion of one semester of clinical nursing school.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to work onsite in McHenry, Illinois.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and function effectively in stressful situations.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Assistant program or phlebotomy course.
