Location: Lowestoft, UK; hybrid work with an expectation of three days per week in the office. The role includes occasional offshore visits and travel to London and other business locations. Applicants must be UK-based and already have the right to work in the UK. Candidates based in or near Lowestoft are preferred; London-based candidates able to travel regularly to Lowestoft and London offices may also be considered.

What you will do
- Provide technical support for operational renewable energy assets and improve availability, reliability, and long-term performance.
- Support electrical transmission systems and high-voltage assets, including HVDC, HVAC, protection systems, transformers, GIS, AIS, STATCOMs, filters, UPS, and low-voltage boards.
- Lead operational readiness for new wind farm assets and provide electrical engineering input across the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate designs, O&M solutions, technical risks, mitigation measures, and operational requirements.
- Develop asset management plans, procedures, and processes while supporting outage, maintenance, tendering, and repair strategies.
- Coordinate with site teams, contractors, the Control Centre, and the Transmission System Owner while maintaining health, safety, environmental, regulatory, and information security compliance.
Requirements
- UK-based with existing right to work in the UK.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Level 3 NVQ/Advanced Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in O&G, marine, high-voltage electrical design or operations, high-voltage safety, or wind-sector O&M delivery.
- Experience resolving complex technical issues, including grid code compliance challenges and root cause analysis of component failures.
- Understanding of the full project lifecycle and technical interfaces across onshore and offshore wind farm substations.
- Strong problem-solving, risk assessment, communication, leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- Asset Management qualifications such as the IAM Certificate.
- Knowledge of the traditional energy industry, project administration, legal matters, and project management.
