Field Technical Delivery Specialist (North) (Renewable Energy)

Location: Remote, based in the UK, with regular travel across the UK and overnight stays where required

What you will do

• Support installers during initial setups, live domestic solar PV and battery installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Explain Tenant Power designs, approved equipment, meter configurations, installation sequences, sign-off requirements, and go-live conditions.
• Work with the OE Homes Delivery team to improve guidance for kit setup, battery and inverter wiring, meter placement, and data monitoring.
• Identify recurring installation issues, missing data, and delays, then provide feedback to design, training, standards, data, and delivery teams.
• Help assess which properties and installation batches are ready to transition into live operation.
• Coordinate housing associations, independent installers, suppliers, and internal delivery teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience supporting or delivering domestic solar PV and battery storage installations, with the necessary qualifications.
• Practical experience with battery commissioning, inverter setup, export settings, and monitoring platforms.
• Relevant electrical background or qualification, with current BS 7671 / 18th Edition knowledge or competence.
• Ability to read approved designs, schematics, Bills of Materials, and platform-specific installation guidance.
• Strong practical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clear site feedback to technical and delivery teams.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the UK, including overnight stays where required.
