Environmental Manager (DBS)

What you will do

• Deliver project-specific environmental assurance for the Dogger Bank South offshore wind project across development, construction, commissioning, operations readiness, and decommissioning interfaces.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans and align offshore activities with legal, regulatory, consent, permit, DCO/DML, and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Review contractor environmental documentation, including EMPs, CEMPs, RAMS, risk registers, monitoring plans, waste plans, and emergency response procedures.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring, performance reporting, audits, inspections, and compliance activities across project teams and contractors.
• Lead and support investigations into incidents, non-conformances, permit breaches, and near misses, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Act as the environmental interface between hirify.global, project teams, contractors, consultants, regulators, marine authorities, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• UK-based with existing right to work in the UK.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of environmental management experience, including 2–3 years in offshore wind, marine infrastructure, or major infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of UK environmental legislation, environmental permitting, DCO/DML obligations, ISO 14001, and project environmental assurance.
• Experience with environmental compliance, permitting, regulatory engagement, contractor documentation, and environmental assurance.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, decision-making, planning, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate, IEMA Practitioner Membership, or Certified Environmental Auditor certification.
• GWO certifications, including Working at Heights, Sea Survival, Fire Awareness, First Aid, and Manual Handling.
• Valid OGUK Offshore Medical Certificate.
• CDM 2015 awareness or training.
• Knowledge of the traditional energy industry, project administration, legal matters, and digital reporting tools.
