Project Engineer (Power T&D)

Location: Power T&D Alness, Scotland, United Kingdom; project delivery involves a live overhead lines construction environment.

What you will do

• Support the Project Manager in delivering assigned work packages across the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate engineering, construction, commercial and planning activities across project interfaces.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier coordination, monitoring delivery against safety, programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Track scope, programme, cost and risk, contributing to project reporting and escalation of issues.
• Coordinate drawings, design deliverables, technical queries, RFIs and construction requirements.
• Support design reviews, execution plans, construction strategies, stakeholder meetings and contractual correspondence.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Site Engineer or similar project delivery role.
• Experience supporting construction, infrastructure, utilities or engineering projects.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and multiple project interfaces.
• Understanding of project planning, cost control, risk management and project reporting.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical information, communicate clearly and resolve project issues.

Nice to have

• Power Transmission & Distribution or overhead line project experience.
• Experience with transmission or distribution network operators.
• Civil engineering, enabling works or live construction environment experience.
• Experience with multi-million-pound infrastructure projects and NEC contracts.
